About the Opportunity

The Front of House Usher is at the heart of the Adelaide Town Hall experience, helping create memorable moments for every guest who walks through our doors. As one of the first points of contact for patrons attending concerts, performances, community events and celebrations, you will play a key role in delivering warm, welcoming and professional customer service in Adelaide’s most iconic venue.

From greeting guests and assisting with seating to supporting interval service and helping patrons navigate the venue and refreshment service, no two shifts are the same. Ushers work closely with event organisers, performers, suppliers and fellow team members to ensure events run smoothly and visitors enjoy a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience.

Beyond customer service, Ushers contribute to the presentation, safety and operation of the venue by monitoring public areas, reporting maintenance concerns, supporting venue compliance requirements and assisting during emergencies when required. This hands-on role suits people who enjoy working with others, thrive in a live event environment and take pride in creating positive experiences for diverse audiences.

If you are passionate about our city, hospitality, and connecting people through exceptional experiences, we would love to hear from you.

  • The ability to remain calm and professional while resolving issues and responding to changing situations.
  • A strong commitment to safety and the ability to follow emergency and venue procedures.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced event environment.
