Landfill/Quarry Manager

Randstad has been engaged to assist one our our clients in the industrial materials market.

We are currently seeking an experienced Quarry/Landfill Manager to take responsiblity of an existing team at the clients site in Narre Warren South.

About The Role

The Quarry/Landfill Manager is responsible for leading operational teams, driving environmental and safety outcomes, managing budgets, and identifying continuous improvement opportunities and ensuring safety across the site.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Leading and supporting site teams to achieve operational targets
• Managing day-to-day landfill and transfer yard operations
• Ensuring compliance with EPA, environmental and safety regulations
• Monitoring landfill performance, recovery rates and operational efficiencies
• Managing budgets, contractors and stakeholder relationships
• Driving continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives
• Promoting a strong safety-first culture across the site

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Previous experience leading large teams across Quarrying or Landfill environments.
• Strong operational management and people leadership skills
• Previous leadership experience within landfill, waste, recycling, manufacturing or resource recovery operations
• Experience managing site safety, compliance and environmental standards
• Budget and performance management experience
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach
