About the Role: Join a thriving Ag Tech business and play a key role in bringing industry-leading animal monitoring technology to producers across Australia. We are seeking a commercially driven and relationship-focused Business Development Manager to drive our client's animal monitoring solutions across Australia. Joining the business at an exciting stage in its journey, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact by bringing leading technology to producers, building strong industry relationships and contributing to the future of a fast-moving and evolving Ag Tech sector. You will be responsible for identifying and converting new business opportunities, driving sales growth, and developing strategic long term partnerships. Working closely with the Commercial Team, you will bring a proven track record in business development, a strong understanding of agricultural and livestock production systems, and a proactive, commercially-focused approach. This role will suit someone who enjoys building long-term relationships, thrives in a dynamic environment and is motivated by delivering both strong customer outcomes and long-term business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and convert new business opportunities to drive market expansion and commercial growth across Australia
  • Maintain and strengthen long-term relationships with partners, distributors, and key industry stakeholders
  • Support sales activities including CRM management, pipeline reporting, onboarding, and subscription activation
  • Build and strengthen customer relationships through ongoing communication and support
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, documentation requirements, and safety, security, and sustainability standards
  • Represent the business at industry events, product launches, demonstrations, and marketing initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support commercial processes and business improvements

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a business development, sales or account management role
  • A strong knowledge and understanding of agricultural and livestock production in Australia
  • A relationship builder who can foster business relationships fluidly
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across a range of audiences
  • A professional and positive mindset with excellent customer service skills
  • Highly organised, personable and motivated, able to manage own diary
  • A team player with a collaborative and results-orientated approach
  • A results driven strategic thinker
  • Valid driving licence and the desire to travel
  • Proficient IT skills with experience of using CRM systems

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Ag Tech, precision livestock
  • Existing industry networks within livestock markets

Pay range and compensation package: A competitive salary and benefits package including, company car, bonus, laptop and phone commensurate with the successful candidate’s level of experience. *Basic salary bandings are indicative only.
