About The Role
As our Employee Relations Lead, you will be the organisation’s subject matter expert in employee and industrial relations, leading both strategic and operational initiatives across LHG.
This newly established role will play a critical role building LHG’s internal capability, allowing it to be agile and responsive to the evolving needs of our workforce and industrial landscape. You will partner closely with the People Partnering team, Executive and senior leaders, acting as the trusted advisor for complex employee relations matters and advice.
You’ll manage complex, sensitive and high-risk matters while enabling leaders and People Partners to deliver consistent, fair and equitable outcomes. Your work will span workplace investigations, performance and misconduct matters, enterprise bargaining and the continuous improvement of our employee relations frameworks.
Reporting directly to the Executive Manager, People and Culture, this is a highly visible role where you will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and play a key part in shaping a positive, consistent and values-driven workplace culture.
This role is offered with flexibility and can be appointed on either a full-time or part-time basis (minimum 0.6 FTE) for the right candidate, making it an excellent opportunity for someone seeking impact alongside work-life balance.
About You
You’re a confident and credible employee relations professional who can remain calm, pragmatic and considered when managing complex or sensitive matters. You will thrive in situations where you get to guide, coaching and influence while applying strategic thinking to achieve outcomes.
You Will Bring
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, Industrial Relations, Law, or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in employee and industrial relations within complex organisations.
- Proven expertise in managing workplace investigations and complex case management matters.
- Experience in enterprise bargaining and working within unionised environments.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation, industrial instruments and ER best practice.
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement, influencing and negotiation skills.
- Clear and professional written communication, including investigation reports.
- Sound judgement, discretion and the ability to manage sensitive matters confidently.
Candidates will require a current NDIS worker clearance. In accordance with current health guidelines for the aged care sector, candidates are encouraged to have all recommended vaccinations.
