We are seeking an experienced and quality-focused Registered Nurse to join our Governance and Risk team in Victoria. In this role, you will support clinical governance, quality assurance and continuous improvement across our residential aged care homes, helping ensure care is delivered in line with the Aged Care Act 2024 , the Statement of Rights and the strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.

Based at one of Aeralife’s Victorian homes, this role involves regular travel across our Victorian sites to support quality monitoring, audit activity, risk management and improvement initiatives.

About the role

You will work closely with operational, clinical and quality teams to monitor compliance, identify risks, support audits, strengthen clinical systems and drive continuous improvement. This is an ideal opportunity for a nurse with aged care experience who is passionate about quality, resident safety and better care outcomes.

Key responsibilities include

· Supporting compliance with the Aged Care Act 2024, Statement of Rights and strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.

· Conducting audits, reviews and gap analyses to identify clinical, quality and documentation risks.

· Monitoring incidents, corrective actions and improvement initiatives to support safer resident outcomes.

· Partnering with site leaders and clinical teams to strengthen quality systems, accountability and continuous improvement.

· Supporting high-quality, evidence-based clinical practice, documentation standards and risk escalation processes.

What you’ll bring

To be successful in this role, you will bring a combination of clinical expertise, aged care experience and a strong understanding of quality and compliance.

· Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.

· Experience in residential aged care, with exposure to clinical governance, auditing, compliance or quality systems.

· Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or the ability to obtain all required clearances.

· Demonstrated experience in clinical compliance, risk management and continuous improvement.

· Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Highly regarded

· Knowledge of the Aged Care Act 2024, Statement of Rights and strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.

· Experience supporting audits, assessments, site visits and rectification activities in aged care.

· Confidence using electronic care, quality and reporting systems.

· Ability to influence practice, build capability and support positive resident outcomes.

· Knowledge of evidence-based practice and contemporary clinical guidance relevant to aged care.

· Experience interpreting data, quality indicators and performance measures to drive improvement.
