Join the Team

As the Associate Director – Financial Controllership of our Finance team, you will be responsible for leading core financial control functions including financial accounting, capital finance, asset management, and statutory reporting. You will provide expert advice on complex accounting matters, drive strong financial governance, and ensure compliance with NSW Government legislation and accounting standards while supporting a large-scale digital health environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead financial controllership functions including accounting, audit, compliance, and statutory reporting
  • Drive continuous improvement across capital finance and financial management practices for a complex portfolio
  • Partner with Procurement and business leaders to deliver financial modelling and support vendor and contract decisions
  • Oversee financial governance, risk management, and internal controls to ensure integrity of financial reporting and audit readiness
  • Build high-performing teams while delivering clear, insightful financial reporting to support executive decision-making

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Brings extensive experience in financial accounting, statutory reporting, audit, and financial governance within a complex organisation
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of accounting standards, legislation, and the ability to provide expert advice on complex financial matters
  • Holds relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, or commerce, with CA, CPA, or equivalent professional membership
  • Has proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams and driving performance, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Brings strong stakeholder engagement, influencing, and communication skills, including experience working with senior leaders and external agencies
