The Role

As Sales Engineer, you will support all aspects of the sales process, from qualifying new customers and cultivating relationships with existing customers, to generating sales opportunities for our Industrial Process Heating and Heat Trace products, systems, and services.

Your Responsibilities

  • Utilise your excellent communication and networking skills to nurture relationships and sales growth with our customers.
  • Develop proposals, including the ability to perform basic thermal calculations to determine proper heating requirements and design effective heating solutions.
  • Efficiently manage and process the various aspects of the order cycle, such as order entry, approval drawings, and material returns authorizations.
  • Analyse the market and our products and compile a list of potential and target customers.
  • Effectively plan sales activities to assure proactive customer engagement and a high level of our brand presence in the market.
  • Attend industry events that drive awareness of the solutions and create relationships with key contacts at the venue, brand, ownership, management, and developer level.

Requirements

  • At least 2+ years of experience with outside sales and/or within a technical service role
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering is preferred; other technical degrees are also considered.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a track record of exceeding sales goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
  • Proven working experience with problem-solving, thinking creatively, and resolving personnel and project-related issues promptly.
  • Proven working experience successfully multi-tasking while possessing a strong sense of urgency.
  • Excellent organisation, documentation, and communication skills.
