Our client is an Australian technology company building advanced optical sensing and spatial awareness systems for machines operating in safety-critical environments.

Their passive optical 3D perception systems are used across autonomy, surveillance, and inspection applications — developed by a team of world-leading optical and robotics experts on a mission to make the world safer through trusted sensing.

This is a technically deep, high-impact role for an engineer who wants to work on technology that genuinely matter, not another SaaS product, but real-world systems with real-world consequences.

They are now looking for another two Software Engineers to join their high performing, growing team.

The Role

Reporting into a senior technical leader, you'll design and implement software components at the core of their product suite — with computer vision as the central capability.

You'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams spanning software, hardware, and systems engineering, contributing across the full development lifecycle from design through to validation and release.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement software components with computer vision capability at their core.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet functional, performance, and quality requirements.
• Integrate software with hardware and system-level components, supporting testing and val
• idation.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation — design specs, test plans, and release notes.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Embed cybersecurity considerations into software design and development processes.
• Support ISO 9001-aligned quality management and traceability requirements.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
• Experience or strong interest in computer vision, robotics, or embedded/systems software.
• Comfortable working across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, technical environments.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and documentation.
• Collaborative by nature — you share knowledge freely and raise the standard around you.
