OneStep Group is continuing its evolution from traditional security models to a proactive, intelligence-led cyber capability, and we’re looking for a leader to help shape what comes next.

We’re hiring a Principal – Cyber Professional Services, a national leadership role that blends strategy, customer delivery, and capability growth. This is not a purely managerial position, you’ll remain close to clients, solutions, and the work that drives real cyber outcomes.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the National General Manager – Cyber, you will take ownership of our Cyber Professional Services capability across Australia, spanning Offensive Security, Technical Consulting, and GRC.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring our services are not only high-quality and commercially strong, but also deeply integrated with our MSSP and SOC operations, bringing an intelligence-led edge to everything we deliver.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• National Leadership: Drive the growth and maturity of our Professional Services capability across Australia
• Customer Engagement: Lead strategic client engagements and stay hands-on in complex solution design and delivery
• Service Evolution: Shape and enhance offerings across Offensive Security, GRC, and technical consulting
• Pre-Sales & Strategy: Partner with sales teams on large opportunities and influence customer outcomes
• Practice Performance: Own utilisation, workforce planning, and commercial performance (GP, EBIT, etc.)
• Team Development: Mentor senior consultants and build the next generation of cyber leaders
• Integrated Delivery: Strengthen collaboration with our SOC to deliver a seamless, intelligence-led service model

About You

You’re a senior cyber professional who thrives at the intersection of leadership and delivery.

• 10+ years’ experience across cyber security consulting or professional services
• Strong exposure across offensive security, technical consulting and/or GRC
• Experience leading teams, practices or national capability functions
• Strong stakeholder engagement and executive communication skills
• Experience supporting pre-sales, solution shaping and strategic growth
• Commercial understanding of utilisation, delivery and margin performance
• Experience within MSP/MSSP environments highly regarded
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, OSCP, CREST or cloud/security architecture certifications will be highly regarded.

Location

This role can be based in Perth, Melbourne, or Brisbane, with a national remit.

Important Requirement

Australian Citizenship is required for this role due to the nature of the work and client engagements.
