About the opportunity

This role offers the opportunity to turn market data into meaningful insight that helps shape better decisions across Charter Hall’s business. By bringing together internal and external research, you’ll help build views on the property markets we operate in and support strategy across funds, asset management, development and capital transactions. It’s a role that sits close to the heart of our investment thinking, helping Charter Hall stay informed, forward looking and well positioned to create long-term value for our customers and investors.

How you’ll make an impact

• Shape investment thinking with market-led insight by leading research across leasing, capital transactions, equity flows and competitor activity, helping Charter Hall make informed decisions across sectors and strategies.
• Turn data into strategic direction by guiding the interpretation of external research and market intelligence to help form Charter Hall’s view on key property markets and uncover opportunities others may miss.
• Influence high-value decisions by partnering with Capital Transactions and Sector teams to inform transaction strategies, challenge assumptions and strengthen investment recommendations.
• Lift the quality and accessibility of market intelligence by overseeing the governance, quality and dissemination of leasing and investment data, ensuring decision-makers have access to clear, reliable and timely insights.
• Drive forward-looking strategy across the platform by contributing to market and investment strategy development, including house view analysis, scenario testing and reporting that supports better outcomes for funds, assets and clients.

What you’ll bring to the team

• Future focused capabilities including self-awareness, resilience, agility and generosity.
• An ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong time management skills, initiative and an ability to prioritise.
• A minimum of 5 years’ industry experience in commercial property research, or a related field.
• A strong understanding of Australian Real Estate at the Direct, Listed and Unlisted levels.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to network and build strong relationships with the business, and its key stakeholders.
