Our client, a leading Australian asset management firm, is seeking a Business Development Consultant / Associate to join its Distribution team in Sydney. The role sits at the intersection of investor engagement and distribution enablement, combining relationship management with analytical, technical and sales support responsibilities.

Reporting to the Head of Distribution, this position is suited to professionals who thrive in a lean, high-accountability environment and enjoy balancing investor-facing activity with data, analysis and execution support.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and growing relationships across a defined investor base, driving engagement and capital allocation growth, and proactively engaging with new and existing investors. You will also support broader distribution activity through CRM-led and email-based campaigns, as well as national initiatives including events, seminars and professional development days.

You will contribute to analytical and investment support functions, including the preparation of investment commentary, performance updates and market insights, as well as assisting with due diligence processes such as DDQs, platform reviews and responsible investment analysis.

In addition, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing sales materials and presentations, while providing reporting and analytical support to senior stakeholders across the distribution team. Acting as a CRM subject matter expert, you will help ensure systems and processes are effectively embedded and consistently utilised.

The ideal candidate will bring 2–3+ years’ experience in a similar role within funds management, wealth management, financial advice or a related financial services environment. You will be detail-oriented, commercially minded, and comfortable operating both independently and collaboratively within a small team. Strong Excel, PowerPoint and CRM capability will be highly regarded.
