About the Role
- The Mental Health Service is committed to delivering high-quality healthcare in partnership with consumers, families, and service providers by providing safe and appropriate care, ensuring equitable access to services, and supporting and developing our workforce.
- The Manager, Health Information, is responsible for leading the efficient and effective delivery of health information services through strategic planning, service review, evaluation and the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to achieve organisational objectives. The role provides leadership and governance for health records management, including the standardisation and implementation of policies, procedures and emerging technologies, while building workforce capability and maintaining collaborative partnerships with health information services across facilities and hospitals within Sydney Local Health District.
- The Manager, Health Information, is responsible for providing operational and professional leadership to frontline administrative staff across inpatient facilities. The role also provides high-level strategic and operational advice to the Mental Health Executive and District on the governance, management and optimisation of health records and health information systems within mental health services.

Ideal Candidate
- Tertiary qualifications in either Health Information Management, Health Management, Health Law, equivalent qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge, understanding and commitment to the management and release of health information in line with legislative requirements.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of NSW Health policies and legislation relating to management of health information management.
- Demonstrated high level of communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with the ability to appropriately communicate with different audiences.
