Summary

Join CSC as a Finance Business Partner, where you'll provide strategic financial advice and insights to drive operational performance, project delivery, and commercial outcomes. This permanent role partners with senior leaders to support decision-making through robust financial analysis, reporting, and business case development.

Your new role

The Finance Business Partner assists management in meeting the strategic and operational targets of CSC. Building strong relationships and trust with key stakeholders across the organisation, you will provide insights that support commercial decision-making across both operations and project initiatives. This role partners with a business portfolio, providing financial analysis and advice that enables the delivery of strategic objectives, operational performance, and successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the business to support budgeting and forecasting, providing advice to executives and managers to ensure alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Deliver timely, accurate monthly management reports, including clear commentary on performance drivers and recommended actions.
  • Analyse trends and variances, proactively identifying issues and translating insights into practical outcomes.
  • Support the development of business cases and project proposals, ensuring alignment with financial and strategic objectives.
  • Develop financial models and sensitivity analysis to inform decision-making and optimise outcomes.
  • Support month- and year-end processes, including accruals, timesheets, capitalisation and work order management.
  • Assist in tracking and realising project benefits, ensuring delivery aligns with approved business cases.

What You’ll Need To Excel

  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce
  • CA/CPA (or equivalent) or MBA desirable
  • Experience with large financial systems (e.g. TechnologyOne, SAP, Oracle) advantageous
  • Financial services and/or project experience desirable
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience engaging senior executives
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with a practical approach to problem-solving
  • Proven experience preparing reports for executive or board audiences
  • High attention to detail and strong numeracy skills
  • Experience in management accounting (budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel
