Business Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the, a key initiative within the Digital & Technology Enterprise Delivery team. This program is focused on modernising the organisation’s Microsoft 365 environment, improving content management practices, strengthening information governance, and enabling secure adoption of emerging technologies such as GenAI.

You will play a critical role in bridging business and technology, ensuring structured analysis, clear requirements, and effective stakeholder engagement across the program.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate workshops to capture business needs, requirements, and pain points
• Document “as-is” and “to-be” processes and identify improvement opportunities
• Perform data analysis and support benefits identification and realisation
• Translate business requirements into structured artefacts (user stories, process maps, documentation)
• Support project initiation and planning, including business cases and problem definition
• Contribute to project delivery and closure activities, including operational handover documentation
• Identify process inefficiencies and apply lean improvement techniques
• Work closely with stakeholders to manage expectations and communicate complex concepts clearly
• Support governance, reporting, and alignment with broader program objectives

Key Skills & Experience

Mandatory

• 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst in enterprise IT environments
• Requirements gathering & documentation
• Workshop facilitation
• Process mapping (as-is / to-be)
• Data analysis (Excel)
• Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments
• Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language
• Experience supporting project lifecycle activities (initiation through to handover)

Highly Desirable

• Experience in information management practices, including data governance, classification, and retention.
• Familiarity with Australian regulatory requirements for information management and data privacy.
• Exposure to governance or content management uplift programs
• Experience with Microsoft 365 would be advantages
