As a Solution Sales Equipment Manager based in Melbourne, VIC, you'll be responsible for increasing the sales of Kalmar mobile and related equipment. Your contributions will help in transforming customer needs into innovative solutions, developing strategic relationships, and consolidating Kalmar's market share.

What are your key responsibilities

  • Strategic Sales & Planning: Develop short and long-term sales plans to increase market share and contribute to strategic planning and budget development.
  • Client Relationship Management: Account manage existing customers, identify new business opportunities, and provide face-to-face interaction to develop long-term strategic relationships.
  • Customer Needs Assessments: Complete client needs assessments on a site-by-site basis to develop and implement product support programs and solutions.
  • Reporting & CRM: Maintain accurate records of all customer-related matters using the Salesforce CRM tool and prepare new and existing customer reports.
  • EHS&S Compliance: Proactively ensure a safe working environment at all times and demonstrate compliance and commitment to the company’s Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability values.

What you bring to the role

  • Qualifications & Experience: A preferred Degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science or a related technical discipline. Substantial experience in the successful development and implementation of New Equipment sales strategies, ideally in the Materials Handling sector.
  • Technical & Sales Expertise: Formal training in sales and presentation skills, English fluency, and intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft and Google Workplace applications.
  • Customer Focus: Excellent customer relationship skills with a proven ability to understand business objectives, assess aftermarket needs, and deliver customer-oriented solutions.
  • Proactive Team Player: Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills, with an ability to get things done and adapt to multiple deadlines.
  • Safety Commitment: Able to lift heavy objects in line with OH&S guidelines, work at heights, and ensure strict adherence to safety protocols.
  • Additional Requirements: Eligibility for an MSIC card security clearance and a willingness to undertake interstate and international travel.
