About the Role

This is not a back-office analytics role. You'll work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams as a genuine strategic partner, with the autonomy and visibility to do your best work from day one using data.

Duties / Key Responsibilities

• Be the analytical voice in the room — someone who helps the business ask better questions, not just answer them
• Shape how performance is tracked and understood across the business, from the numbers up
• Lead the experimentation programme, building a test-and-learn culture that informs real decisions
• Look for ways to use AI and modern tooling to work smarter and spend more time on the analysis that actually requires your judgement

Skills and Experience

• Several years in an analytics role where the expectation was insight, not just output
• Strong technical skills across SQL and a scripting language such as Python or R
• Comfortable building and maintaining production-grade data models — dbt experience expected
• Experience with a modern BI tool and a track record of building things people actually use
• Known for communicating complex findings in a way that lands with non-technical stakeholders
• Genuinely curious, commercially aware, and comfortable with ambiguity
• Must be based in Sydney and hold full working rights in Australia
