Construction, Renewable Energy Lawyers

Wolf & Williams have multiple opportunities partnering with a range of construction groups delivering major renewable energy, infrastructure and complex construction projects across Australia. We are seeking experienced senior front-end construction lawyers to join their Sydney-based legal teams for an initial 6-month contract, with strong likelihood of extension.

About the roles

These are hands-on, in-house roles supporting the delivery of large-scale construction and renewable energy projects, working closely with project and commercial teams across the business.

You’ll provide front-end construction advice across the full project lifecycle, from early procurement through to contract execution and delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of construction and project agreements, including D&C, EPC, O&M, consultancy and PPA agreements (Australian Standard and bespoke);
• Advising on procurement strategy, contract structuring and risk allocation across renewable, infrastructure and general construction projects;
• Supporting project teams with day-to-day construction and delivery advice;
• Working collaboratively with commercial stakeholders to keep projects moving.

This role will suit someone who enjoys being embedded in projects, working autonomously, and delivering practical, commercially focused advice.

About You

You are a senior front-end construction lawyer with strong experience supporting major construction and infrastructure projects, gained in private practice and/or in-house.

You’ll bring:

• Demonstrated experience advising on front-end construction matters;
• Exposure to renewable energy, construction and/ or infrastructure projects;
• Strong commercial judgment and a pragmatic approach to risk;
• Confidence working directly with project and commercial teams;
• The ability to operate independently within a collaborative in-house environment.
