An established and highly regarded architecture and interiors practice is seeking an experienced Architectural Technician to join its growing Sydney team. With a strong reputation for delivering beautifully crafted projects across hospitality, high-end residential, boutique workplace and heritage sectors, this studio offers the opportunity to work on technically challenging and design-focused projects alongside a collaborative team of architects and interior designers.

The Role

Working closely with Project Architects, Associates and senior leaders, you will play a key role in the technical delivery of projects from design development through to construction documentation and delivery.

This position would suit a highly capable technician who enjoys resolving technical challenges, producing high-quality documentation and contributing to project success through strong construction knowledge and coordination skills.

The ideal candidate will have experience across multi-residential projects and be comfortable supporting project teams through complex delivery phases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed construction documentation and technical packages using Revit
  • Develop and resolve construction details and technical solutions
  • Coordinate consultant information and project documentation
  • Assist with Development Applications (DA), Complying Development Certificates (CDC) and statutory approvals
  • Ensure compliance with NCC requirements, Australian Standards and relevant regulations
  • Support projects through documentation, tender and construction phases
  • Collaborate closely with architects, interior designers and external consultants

About You

  • Qualification in Architectural Technology, Building Design or Architecture
  • Strong Revit proficiency
  • Previous experience delivering multi-residential projects
  • Excellent technical documentation and detailing capabilities
  • Strong understanding of Australian construction methods and building regulations
  • Experience navigating DA and CDC processes
  • Hospitality project experience and knowledge of food and beverage regulations highly regarded
  • Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative studio environment
