Our Portfolio Commercial Leaders are responsible for managing the contractual relationships with key IT Outsource Strategic Suppliers. Their focus is on maximizing the value and opportunities from Suncorp’s investment in critical products and services.

This 8 month fixed-term contract role requires a strong commercial mindset and the ability to foster accountability, discipline, and consistency within the Supplier Partnering team. The Portfolio Commercial Leader ensures that Strategic Partners deliver high-quality services and adhere to agreed-upon standards, driving both performance and partnership growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage commercial matters with Strategic Partners & IT Strategic Suppliers, including rate/cost negotiations, disputes, and contracted deliverables
  • Resolve supplier disputes and work with the Suncorp business stakeholders to address supplier performance and governance issues, coordinating improvement plans when necessary
  • Track supplier performance, service levels, metrics, and performance incentive pools
  • Contribute to the strategy for Strategic Partners & IT Strategic Suppliers demand management, including the ability to forecast demand and utilize supplier capacity
  • Develop sourcing approaches aligned with the Suncorp business stakeholders’ strategy, ensuring competitive tension across strategic partners
  • Act as an account manager ITO Strategic Partners & IT Strategic Suppliers, driving continuous improvement by managing performance and service improvement

What You’ll Bring

  • 5-10 years of experience working with the Procurement and Vendor management of Outsource or Strategic Vendors.
  • Strong relationship skills and ability to develop and lead leaders
  • Proven capability in contributing to the strategic direction of a department
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Vendor management, including the management of outsource service suppliers
  • A proven ability to manage across broad teams and business areas, ensuring effective delivery of multiple projects simultaneously
