Title: Lead Cloud Engineer (Azure DevOps)

Location: Sydney, Australia

Qualifications and Experience

• 8+ years' experience in cloud engineering, DevOps or infrastructure roles
• Strong experience within Azure environments
• Demonstrated experience in solution design, architecture and technical leadership
• Experience mentoring or leading technical teams (formal or informal)
• Relevant cloud certifications (Microsoft Azure preferred).

Key Accountabilities

Take end-to-end ownership of the cloud environment, including architecture, performance, security and cost optimisation

• Analyse the current cloud landscape and define a clear, practical roadmap to modernise legacy environments into DevOps-aligned platforms
• Lead cloud architecture and design decisions across Azure and SaaS integrations
• Drive Infrastructure as Code adoption and uplift DevOps maturity across engineering teams
• Own cloud cost management, ensuring efficient use of resources in a cost-constrained environment
• Act as the technical authority across infrastructure, DevOps and cloud platform design
• Partner with engineering, data and AI teams to design and deliver scalable, secure and fit-for-purpose solutions
• Oversee cloud security posture, ensuring environments are maintained, compliant and aligned to best practice
• Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentorship across the team
• Support project delivery through strong solution design, technical input and governance
• Manage escalations and relationships with key vendors including Microsoft
• Comply with all company policies and procedures
