As Manager, Fund Operations & Investment Control (FOIC) you will be accountable for managing the mandate and regulatory compliance obligations of TCorp’s Investments division. The monitoring process covers all asset classes and markets across the globe. The Manager operates closely with broader Investment Operations and contributes to operational risk oversight and operational due diligence activities in addition to core investment compliance responsibilities.

The FOIC team is a key Line 1 control function for TCorp’s 3 Lines of Accountability risk model. The team is a strategic enabler for the Investments division and an important partner to the Risk Management division in its capacity of understanding, overseeing, supporting and challenging the level of risk that is taken by the Investments division, within the context of TCorp’s Board approved risk appetite.

The Manager role would suit an experienced Investment Compliance Leader with demonstrated experience in building and maintain effective relationships with senior internal stakeholders and external service providers. This is a Parental Leave cover position to July 2027.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversight and ongoing development of the investment compliance strategy.
  • Act as a trusted business partner to internal stakeholders across Investments, Risk, Operations and Client Relationship teams and to external stakeholders including custodians, auditors, and investment partners to support timely, practical and risk‑appropriate compliance outcomes.
  • Proactively engage, influence and appropriately challenge stakeholders.
  • Support onboarding and implementation activities for new investment mandates.
  • Manage the compliance monitoring processes and controls.
  • Manage the pre and post trade mandate compliance activities of TCorp’s internally managed portfolios.
  • Oversee breach reporting, rectification, and resolution.
  • Manage the strategic relationship with the custodian.
  • Partner with Investments teams to optimise the BlackRock Aladdin system utilisation.
  • Provide additional capacity to support investment partner Operational Due Diligence (ODD) assessments and follow‑up monitoring.
  • Work collaboratively across internal teams and external service providers to identify and deliver process improvements that streamline operations, strengthen controls, and enhance compliance outcomes.
  • Partner with the Investment Stewardship team to deliver operational components of the ESG strategy.
  • Prepare reporting for clients, senior management, internal Committees and the Board on compliance activities.

About You

You will hold tertiary qualifications applicable to the finance industry (or demonstrated relevant experience) with a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in an investment operations function or audit function in the financial services industry. Experience dealing with a range of subject matter experts from various fields and at different levels of seniority and strong stakeholder management skills are essential.
