The Opportunity

This role has been created due to growth, with the business scaling its WA pipeline and pushing into Victoria. It is a strong move for someone wanting to leave a narrower corporate environment and step into a broader, more commercial development role with direct decision-making access.

This is best suited to a high-level Assistant Development Manager, emerging Development Manager or capable step-up candidate who can run workstreams with guidance but does not need heavy structure.

Reporting to the Founder and working closely with a Senior Development Manager, you will take carriage of multiple townhouse, villa and land subdivision projects across different stages of the lifecycle.

You will be involved from acquisition and feasibility through to planning, consultant coordination, procurement and delivery. The role offers real ownership, daily commercial exposure and the chance to accelerate your career inside a business where strong performers can grow quickly as capability and project volume increase.

Development Management

  • Drive multiple residential projects through planning, design and delivery stages
  • Manage programme, budgets and key development milestones across active sites
  • Identify issues early and keep projects moving through decisive problem-solving

Acquisitions & Feasibility

  • Assess new opportunities across infill, townhouse and subdivision product
  • Build and update feasibilities to support commercial decision-making
  • Contribute to due diligence, consultant input and acquisition recommendations

Project Delivery

  • Coordinate consultants, builders, civil contractors and authority relationships
  • Oversee project progress against cost, time and delivery objectives
  • Support procurement and delivery strategy across land and built form outcomes

Stakeholder Management

  • Maintain clear communication with internal decision makers and external partners
  • Manage consultant performance and hold stakeholders to deadlines and outcomes
  • Present commercial and project updates with confidence and clarity

About You

  • Experience across residential development, ideally townhouses, villas, infill or land subdivision
  • Strong feasibility and commercial capability with the ability to understand the deal
  • Comfortable running tasks autonomously in a lean, fast-paced environment
  • Confident communicator who can engage directly with senior stakeholders
  • Proactive, switched-on and solutions-focused rather than reactive or passive
  • Likely suited to someone stepping up from ADM level or already operating at Junior DM level
