Seeking an experienced Pump Technician / Mechanical Fire Technician, it is a permanent full-time position working directly for a leading fire company.

Perth based mobile role, supporting commercial and industrial clients, they have plenty of work North and South of the river, allowing them to schedule your jobs close to home.

The Role

Responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault finding and repairing a range of fire protection systems.

The role involves both scheduled preventative maintenance and breakdown response work, ensuring all systems remain compliant and operational.

Day-to-Day Duties

• Inspect and service fire pump systems in line with Australian Standards
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
• Carry out repairs and component replacements
• Complete testing, compliance reports and service documentation
• Customer service / client engagement

Previous Experience Within The Fire Protection Industry, Working On

• Diesel and electric fire pump systems
• Fire sprinkler and hydrant pump sets
• Jockey pumps
• Pump controllers and fire control panels
• Pipework, valves and fire water storage systems
• Diesel engines used in fire protection systems
• Electric motors and associated mechanical components
• Bearings and mechanical seals

Ideal Requirements

• Trade qualified (Mechanical Fitter, HD Mechanic, Fitter & Turner or similar) - Ideal
• Mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of Australian fire compliance standards highly regarded
• Reliable, organised and self-motivated
• Able to work independently and within a team
• Communication and customer service skills
• Committed to workplace safety
