DevSecOps Engineer

On behalf of our clients who operate in the Australian Defence sector, I am currently looking for an experienced DevSecOps Engineer with NV1 or above clearance.

The role is being offered as a long-term day rate contract and will be based on clients site in Adelaide

The Role

You’ll work across secure environments to design, build and enhance DevSecOps pipelines that enable rapid, reliable and compliant delivery. Typical responsibilities include:

• Implementing and maintainin g CI/CD pipelines in classified or highly regulated environments
• Embeddin g security controls, scanning and compliance automation across the SDLC
• Supporting secure cloud, container and platform engineering (AWS, Azure, OpenShift, Kubernetes)
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code development (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
• Hardening, monitoring and improving secure build and deployment workflows
• Working closely with software, cyber, architecture and platform teams across Defence programs
• Ensuring alignment with Defence frameworks, governance and accreditation requirements

Experience Required

• Active NV1 or above cleararance
• Experience delivering DevSecOps capability within the Australian Defe n ce or Federal Government sectors.
• Strong background in automation, secure software delivery and platform engineering
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bamb
• oo)Proficiency with IaC, containerisation and secure cloud patterns)
• Solid understanding of Defence security controls, accreditation processes and secure-by-design principles
• Ability to operate in structured, multi‑vendor, multi‑domain environments
