You will be working at the new Griffith Base Hospital in Murrumbidgee Local Health District. This facility offers a new modern infrastructure designed to meet the needs of Griffith and surrounding communities into the future. You will be working in a dynamic and dedicated team of health professionals to provide high quality multi-disciplinary health care.
What you'll be doing
This Allied Health professional is an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care team providing, planning and delivering comprehensive, high-quality care to patients and clients of the Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD), to support management of their health needs and to promote wellness.
The Level 3 Senior Oncology Occupational Therapist is responsible for providing a range of high-level assessment, therapeutic and preventative Occupational Therapy services in the identified specialty area, within scope, according to relevant models of care and priorities. The clinician is able to demonstrate advanced reasoning skills and operate with minimal direct clinical supervision.

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate
A tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration
Three years' clinical experience and demonstrated experience of extensive specialist knowledge
Advanced clinical reasoning and sound professional judgement when managing complex, critical, or unfamiliar clinical situations within your scope of practice.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based, person-centred care.
Experience leading and contributing to quality improvement initiatives, research activities, and service development projects.
