About the Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Executive Assistant to support the North Coast Sector of NSW Ambulance.

This role offers a consistent schedule based on operational needs and there is potential extension beyond the initial 12-month employment period for the right candidate. It’s a great opportunity for someone looking for flexibility while remaining open to increased responsibility and longer term prospects.

The role is an integral part of the sector team producing high level administrative, clerical and secretarial support to the Associate Director Clinical Operations, Zone Managers and the wider senior leadership team. Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Provide high level administrative, clerical and secretarial support to the office of the Associate Director Clinical Operations and the sector generally with the ability to readily adapt to change.

  • Provide advanced word processing, spreadsheet and computer-based presentation materials to support the informational, management and reporting needs of sector management.

  • Provide support to/or carry out administrative tasks, including minute taking, and projects for the office of the Associate Director Clinical Operations which includes other sector managers.

  • Manage general operations of the office, field enquiries from the public and staff, attend to accounts, stores and stationery, travel and accommodation and records management using computer-based data programs.

About You

You are a reliable and professional team player with demonstrated experience as an Executive Assistant or in a similar role. You understand the importance of working within your remit, maintaining confidentiality, and exercising sound judgement in all situations. You take pride in delivering high-quality outcomes, supporting senior leaders with administrative support while you manage day-to-day administrative requirements with efficiency and discretion. Organised and proactive, you anticipate needs, manage competing priorities with ease, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. You value professionalism in every interaction and are committed to contributing positively to the culture of the workplace.

Conditions

  • No NSW Ambulance accommodation is provided.
  • Employees currently undertaking an Extended Care Paramedic or Intensive Care Paramedic consolidation periods are eligible to apply however will need to complete all training and return of service obligations before accepting any relief/acting opportunities.
  • Employees currently undertaking a Special Operations Team (SOT) consolidation period are not eligible to apply for positions other than SOT positions. This includes positions offered via merit selection, transfer lists or later transfer mechanism, expressions of interest or secondments.

Employment Type: Temporary Part Time (0.71 FTE, 27 hours per week), Twelve (12) months with possible extension.
