What you’ll do

  • Be a trusted commercial legal partner – providing strategic, pragmatic legal advice to help the business navigate risk and make confident decisions across contractual matters
  • Play a key role in our projects – draft and advise on a wide range of IT/digital, general procurement and project related agreements including for high-value, long-term infrastructure initiatives
  • Support the evolution of technology and AI contracting – helping shape legal approaches to emerging tech procurement, digital solutions and associated risk frameworks
  • Collaborate across a diverse stakeholder network – partnering with teams across digital, infrastructure, procurement and operations to enable successful project delivery
  • Manage matters with autonomy and accountability – handling competing priorities and delivering high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment

What we are looking for

  • Qualified legal professional – admitted as a Legal Practitioner in Australia (or eligible for a NSW practising certificate), with a tertiary qualification in law and at least 6+ years post-qualification experience (PQE). A mix of in- house experience and solid training in a national law firm would be advantageous.
  • Strong commercial contracting expertise – proven experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating a wide range of day to day and complex commercial agreements, including IT/digital contracts
  • Sound risk and advisory capability – confident providing clear, pragmatic advice on legal and commercial risk to support business decision-making
  • Tech and future-focused mindset –an interest in emerging areas such as AI and evolving risk landscapes
  • Highly effective communicator – able to translate complex legal concepts into clear, practical advice and build trusted relationships across all levels of the business
  • Experience in construction, land development or related project environments, particularly within renewable energy or infrastructure would be advantageous, but is not essential.
