About the Role
The Frontline Support Specialist is a senior frontline practitioner within our Disability Services team, providing high-quality, person-centred support to people with complex and high-intensity needs.
This role leads by example on the floor, modelling best practice, supporting complex care, and providing informal mentoring to team members. It also plays an important role in developing future leaders as part of our succession planning approach.

Duties
Provide direct support to clients with complex and multiple support needs
Apply advanced practice skills in health, behavioural support and crisis situations
Implement behaviour support strategies and respond safely to behaviours of concern
Support and guide team members through mentoring and role modelling best practice
Participate in complex care reviews and contribute to care planning
Build strong relationships with clients, families and support networks
Advocate for client rights, choice and inclusion
Maintain accurate documentation in line with NDIS Practice Standards and organisational requirements
Support compliance, auditing and quality improvement activities
Skills and Experience
Essential
Demonstrated experience supporting people with complex and high-intensity needs in the disability sector
Strong understanding of person-centred and active support practices
Ability to work autonomously and confidently in complex situations
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Willingness to mentor and support less experienced staff
Commitment to ongoing professional development
Desirable
Experience participating in or leading complex care reviews
Knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards and legislative requirements
Experience supporting High-Intensity Daily Personal Activities
Exposure to multidisciplinary team collaboration
