Contract Delivery Officer

As part of the Works Enablement Group, the Contract Delivery Officer will support the management and delivery of complex contracts and portfolio programs, ensuring commercially robust outcomes align to contractual frameworks. The role is critical in ensuring that contracts are administered effectively during both pre-delivery and delivery phases, with a strong focus on cost integrity, risk allocation and governance.
Key responsibilities
- Leading the review and assessment of Target Outturn Cost (TOC) submissions, including detailed interrogation of cost build-ups, underlying assumptions, productivity rates and contingency allowances to ensure commercial robustness and alignment with contract frameworks.
- Administering contracts during delivery, including the management and assessment of variations, extension of time (EOT) claims and provision of commercial support to project teams to ensure consistent and compliant contract outcomes.
- Monitoring and supporting compliance across CMS portfolio agreements, including Master Services Agreements (MSA), Customer Agreements and Facility Access Agreements, and ensuring the consistent application of commercial mechanisms such as risk allocation, pain/gain share and other contractual entitlements.
- Leading stakeholder engagement across internal teams and contractors to drive alignment on commercial matters, facilitate informed decision making, and proactively manage contract-related issues and outcomes.

Our ideal candidate:
- (Essential) Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (e.g. project management, contract management, law or business) or equivalent extensive experience and proficiency in contract management and negotiation, applying initiative and judgement (minimum 5 years).
- Ability to consider and effectively manage competing priorities and strategic directions when achieving outcomes in line with agency goals and objectives.
- Understanding of risk management principles
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency in stakeholder management and service delivery.
- Understanding of and experience in value chains, project design, development and delivery is highly regarded. Knowledge and experience in the energy sector is highly regarded
