What You’ll Do

In this position, you will have the opportunity to work and learn alongside our team of experts, developing your problem-solving abilities in parallel to your technical skills. You will develop in-depth knowledge of our clients' objectives and challenges to design and develop advanced analytics solutions to guide their decision making and preparing them for the future.

You Will Have The Opportunity To

  • Design and deliver end-to-end analytics solutions — from problem framing and data acquisition through to modelling, insight generation, and executive-level storytelling — for clients across multiple industries.
  • Support the development of cloud platforms using AWS and Azure
  • Identifying, acquiring, synthesising, and analysing relevant data, understanding the relationships among multiple sources and types of data, and organising this information to facilitate effective data analysis
  • Develop robust data pipelines (you may use tools such as SQL, Alteryx, Python, DataBricks, Data Factory. Redshift etc).
  • Apply machine learning or statistical methods (regression, classification, clustering, forecasting, NLP etc) to real business problems
  • Developing advanced analytics and complex system models, e.g. discrete event, agent based, systems dynamics or optimization (using tools such as AnyLogic)
  • Understanding of how to make best use of LLMs and generative AI in a business context for clients and your own work
  • Develop dashboards that generate measurable business value and are built to last beyond the engagement.
  • Partner closely with client stakeholders to understand strategic priorities, translating complex analytical outputs into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Contribute to business development by supporting proposals, thought leadership, and the growth of the firm's analytics capabilities.

About You

Ideally, you have 2 – 5 years of prior consulting experience or you are a high performer looking to move from industry or government to consulting. You may have experience in health, mining or retail, in areas including procurement, logistics and supply chain, operations or a strong desire to work in these sectors. We are looking for someone with a mix of the attributes listed below:

  • You are highly motivated with strong work ethic, enjoy solving complex problems with data, and eager to learn and grow your skills in this area.
  • Ability to communicate technical findings clearly and persuasively to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to travel within the country (where practical and possible).
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, multi-task environment with a strong attention to detail.
  • Experience working in project environments and flexibility with respect to assigned tasks and engagements required due to challenging deadlines, changing deliverables and evolving task priorities.
  • Ability to interface with team members and client personnel in demanding, deadline-driven situations.

In terms of technical skills and experience, we are seeking candidates with a mix of capabilities and specialised expertise across the following areas, recognising that candidates are not expected to have experience in all areas.

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, physics, chemistry, analytics etc)
  • Proficiency using Python, R, SQL or Alteryx for data manipulation, cleansing and data modelling
  • Experience using visualisation tools such as Power BI and Tableau
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks)
  • Understanding and experience applying AI tools, machine learning and LLMs to solve problems
  • Experience developing simulation or optimization models of complex systems (desired, not required)

Compensation

Minimum Pay:$88,000.00

Maximum Pay:$121,000.00

Compensation Disclosure:The compensation range reflects potential base salary for the role and is inclusive of Superannuation. Determination of actual salary is based on a combination of relevant factors such as market considerations, business needs, and an individual’s location, skills, level of experience and qualifications.
