Role Summary
The Director – Multi-Asset Solutions is responsible for driving business development and adviser engagement with Financial Advisers with a particular focus on NSW and Queensland.
They also act as the subject-matter expert for Pinnacle Group’s (PNI) Multi-Asset investment capability by articulating investment philosophy, portfolio construction, risk management, and performance outcomes to advisers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Distribution & Business Development
- Drive the sales and marketing strategy with support from the existing PNI Group resources.
- Support financial advisers with the adoption of PNI multi-asset capability
- Lead business development activity across the target Financial Adviser market and meet/exceed flow targets.
- Promote PNI multi-asset capability across platforms.
- Maintain expert knowledge of PNI multi-asset strategies
- Develop and deliver investment presentations and proposals.
- Execute sales activity including meetings, webinars, video demos and events.
- Present multi-asset solutions at adviser forums, roadshows, and conferences
- Provide regular updates on sales pipeline and adviser engagement to management.
Investment & Product Expertise
- Demonstrate strong understanding of our multi-asset investment philosophy, processes and performance in a clear, compelling manner to advisers and non-investment audiences.
- Act as investment expert for multi-asset solutions with understanding of asset allocation, portfolio construction, rebalancing methodologies, and manager selection.
- Assist with completion of DDQs and RFPs and respond to follow-up queries (including complex investment queries).
- Provide competitive positioning and articulate value propositions versus peers.
Adviser Relationship Management
- Maintain regular contact with existing and prospective advisers through meetings, webinars, events and written communications.
- Communicate fund manager insights, PNI multi-asset investment performance and portfolio positioning.
- Assist adviser practices with onboarding new clients and/or transitioning assets into PNI multi-asset solutions.
- Respond to ad hoc adviser requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate adviser and prospect records within the CRM system.
- Oversee delivery of regular and ad hoc client reporting.
- Develop strong awareness of competitor offerings and wider market trends.
Marketing, Networking and Events, Content & Thought Leadership
- Develop presentation materials, sales literature and articles to support strategy promotion.
- Support PR initiatives within the Australian wholesale market.
- Identify and attend relevant conferences and networking events.
- Act as a brand ambassador within the Australian Financial Planning community.
- Collaborate with investment and marketing colleagues to deliver in-house seminars and investment presentations.
- Contribute to investment commentary, market updates, and portfolio insights.
- Stay abreast of market trends, regulation, and industry developments impacting managed accounts.
Compliance and Conduct
- Ensure all external-facing materials are compliant and approved prior to issue.
- Accurately record all adviser communications.
- Submit expenses accurately and within required timeframes.
