About the opportunity

As Australia Post embarks on significant change, the need for an enterprise approach to customer and community engagement has never been more critical.

Reporting to the Senior Customer Communications and Stakeholder Manager, the Community Engagement Manager is responsible for leading the delivery of community engagement plans and supporting activities. This role ensures engagement activities are delivered consistently and clearly, enabling strong understanding and meaningful participation across diverse communities in Australia.

What you’ll deliver with us

  • Support the consistent delivery of community engagement plans, including the development of high-quality collateral and materials

  • Deliver effective community engagement initiatives that clearly inform, involve and encourage participation from communities and stakeholders

  • Work across the business to access and apply customer and community insights to inform communications and engagement activities

  • Proactively build and maintain strong internal relationships, collaborating and sharing knowledge to ensure an aligned and integrated approach to stakeholder engagement

Play an active role in protecting and enhancing Australia Post’s brand and reputation by partnering with internal teams, including Internal Communications, Media, Government Relations, Social Media, Marketing, and Corporate Responsibility

About you

  • Demonstrated experience in community engagement, stakeholder management or communications within a large, complex corporate and/or government environment
  • Proactive, detail-oriented and community-focused, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and simply
  • Outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships and thrive in a fast‑paced environment, managing multiple projects to achieve agreed objectives
  • Demonstrated awareness of brand and reputation management, risk, and corporate governance
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and balance strategic and tactical demands to deliver outcomes
