Client Implementation Specialist, Investment Services

We are seeking a Client Implementation Specialist to join our Investment Services team at Mercer. You will be the key liaison for the Investment Services team between the third-party unit registry service provider, clients, consultants, investments, compliance and operations teams, and report to the Client and Product Operations Manager.
This role is based in Melbourne and offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, with a minimum three days per week in the office, and the option to work from home for up to two days.
This position is full-time fixed term for 12 months.
We will count on you to
- Manage client relationships as the key contact for institutional, wholesale and retail clients and internal stakeholders, including regular engagement with Client Consulting and Investment Management teams, managing queries, expectations and complaints.
- Oversee client onboarding and AML CTF requirements and exception referral management in collaboration with the external unit registry.
- Support departmental activities to comply with industry regulatory requirements, such as compliance standards, and operating company-specific procedures and guidelines.
- Develop and drive process improvement initiatives to improve quality and efficiency, reducing operational risk.
- Assist in training junior team members.
- Oversee key regulatory reporting requirements to applicable regulators.
What you need to have
- Previous experience in Client Services within Funds Management, Wealth Management, Unit Registry, Managed Funds Administration or Investment Operations.
- Experience supporting client onboarding, AML/CTF processes and unit registry exception management will be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of managed funds and regulations.
- Exposure to third party unit registry service providers or managed funds administrators is favourable.
- Experience working collaboratively with Client Consulting, Investment/Portfolio Management and other internal business partners to manage client relationships and deliver solutions.
- RG146 completed or in progress.
- Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics or other related discipline would be well regarded.
