Part of the operational leadership team, the Head of Community & Patient Engagement leads Sobi’s patient and community engagement initiatives in ANZ, by building partnerships with patients, patient organisations, physicians and nurses to understand the overall patient journey, co-create strategies that enhances their lived experience, and improves quality use of medicines for patients. The role leads the development and implementation of patient support programs (PSPs) for the different patient groups treated with Sobi products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop sustainable partnerships and co-create strategies that enhance the understanding of the patient journey of the relevant therapeutic areas.
- Integrate patient perspectives, insights and needs into the overall strategic planning process.
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with patient organisations, ensuring regular communication to understand patient needs and co-create strategies to support the overall patient outcomes aligned to business objectives.
- Support and coordinate patient and/or community engagement activities, including patient forums, to include patients in key initiatives and programs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate patient perspectives and insights into the strategic planning process.
- Lead the development of patient communication materials, including disease awareness campaigns, etc.
- Design PSPs in partnership with the community and act as a PSP owner.
- Manage the 3rd party vendor in charge of the execution of the PSPs. Regularly monitor the effectiveness of the PSPs and adjust as required.
- Lead projects directly linked to patients’ experience with Sobi products, including but not limited to: 1. Empaveli patient kits o enFuse pump 2. Patient Apps such as Florio
- Other projects, tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in science, or medicine, or nursing, or pharmacy, or a similar relevant discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical / biotechnology industry.
- Excellent relationship building (collaboration) and stakeholder management skills, both internally and externally.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
- Proficient IT skills in all business-related packages including MS Office,.
- Valid / unrestricted Australian driver’s licence.
- Completed Medicines Australia CEP program.
