We’re now seeking a Head Chef – Cafés to lead kitchen operations across our Seniors Communities.

Your Opportunity

Full Time | Seniors Communities

This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for running a café and functions kitchen within a village environment.

You’ll lead a small team, manage ordering and stock, and ensure consistent, high‑quality food and service across café and events.

In this role, you will:

• Lead day‑to‑day kitchen operations across café and functions

• Manage ordering, stock control and supplier relationships

• Plan menus and develop specials aligned to resident preferences

• Supervise and support a small team (including one casual chef)

• Ensure consistent food quality, presentation and service

• Monitor costs, reduce waste and manage kitchen budgets

• Maintain food safety, hygiene and compliance standards

• Support delivery of functions and events across the village

This role is responsible for café and event catering services, ensuring quality, compliance and strong customer experience outcomes.

What You’ll Bring

You’re a practical, organised Head Chef who enjoys leading small teams and delivering consistent, high‑quality food in a structured environment.

You’ll bring:

• Certificate in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)

• 5+ years’ experience in a senior kitchen role

• Strong ordering, stock management and cost control experience

• Experience supervising kitchen staff

• Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP and compliance

• Ability to manage a consistent service + functions

• Flexibility to work weekends and one evening shift

• Experience in aged care, cafés or community environments is highly regarded.
