We’re now seeking a Café & Functions Chef to join our village hospitality team.

Your Opportunity

This is a hands‑on role delivering high‑quality food across both café service and village functions. You’ll support the Head Chef and play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations.

You’ll balance prep, service and coordination while contributing to menu planning and maintaining a strong customer experience.

In this role, you will:

• Prepare and deliver café meals and function catering to a high standard

• Support daily kitchen operations, service flow and food preparation

• Assist with menu development and specials

• Manage ordering of ingredients, stock and supplies

• Support supervision and training of kitchen staff

• Assist with coordination and delivery of functions and events

• Maintain food safety, hygiene and kitchen standards

• Contribute to efficient, well‑organised kitchen operations

What You’ll Bring

You’re a reliable, hands‑on chef who enjoys variety and working in a team‑focused environment.

You’ll bring:

• Certificate in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)

• 4+ years’ experience in café, restaurant or function environments

• Experience preparing food in a high‑volume or multi‑service kitchen

• Strong understanding of food safety, HACCP and kitchen operations

• Ability to work collaboratively and support team performance

• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate and RSA

Experience in aged care, community or events catering is highly regarded.
