About This Opportunity

In this hands-on role, you’ll contribute to the care and maintenance of Mackay’s natural areas through activities such as habitat restoration, vegetation management, and general site maintenance.

Working as part of a collaborative team, you’ll help deliver projects that protect and enhance the region’s unique natural environment.

About You

You’re someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in your work, and values teamwork. You bring practical skills, a strong work ethic, and a genuine interest in environmental care.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills

  • General Construction Induction Training.
  • QLD “C” Class Drivers Licence or interstate equivalent.
  • Operate and maintain chainsaws - Level 1.
  • ACDC Commercial Operators Licence ACDC.
  • Chemical Accreditation (AQF3).
  • Relevant experience in weed control, including the use of herbicides and pesticides, and vegetation restoration.

  • Base annual salary of $ 65,644 - $64,517 + allowances as applicable (level offered will be dependent on successful candidates’ qualification and experience)
