Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.

Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the `Courts Group'.

VCAT

The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) is a justice service that resolves a wide range of disputes for the Victorian community, including renting, planning, and consumer disputes. VCAT is committed to delivering an accessible service for all Victorians and is transforming our digital products and services to make it faster, easier, and more convenient for people to come to the tribunal.

About the Role

The Member Support coordinator leads a team of administrative staff performing a variety of high level confidential administrative support, while maintaining and strong stakeholder relationship with the relevant Heads of Division.

You will be responsible for monitoring workflows, working collaboratively with colleagues and counterparts and ensure Tribunal Members have effective administrative support. Duties will include:

  • managing and unertaking a range of high level, effective and confidential executive and administrative support functions
  • exercising quasi-judicial and statutory delegated functions subject to the direction of the Principal Registrar
  • contributing to improvement of operating policies, practices and systems
  • applying your sound judgment to determine priorities and present possible options and solutions
  • preparation of written correspondence and reports on strategic issues

This is a fixed term opportunity until 31 December 2026

About You

The ideal candidate will have experience in leading and developing people across onsite and off-site locations, providing face-to-face and remote support to a team. You will have an understanding of the Tribunal and be able to demonstrate advanced computer skills.
