About The Role
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you would:
- Conduct functional behaviour assessments.
- Develop and implement Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs).
- Provide evidence-based interventions for NDIS participants.
- Support participants, families, carers, and support teams.
- Work to reduce restrictive practices in line with NDIS requirements.
- Collaborate with allied health professionals in a multidisciplinary team.
- Complete reports, case notes, and compliance documentation.
Typical Requirements
- Registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner or eligibility to become registered.
- Relevant qualification in psychology, education, social work, counselling, occupational therapy, speech pathology, or a related field.
- Experience working with people with disability, autism, mental health conditions, or complex behaviours.
- Strong written communication and report-writing skills.
- Driver's licence and ability to travel to participants where required.
