About The Role

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you would:

  • Conduct functional behaviour assessments.
  • Develop and implement Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs).
  • Provide evidence-based interventions for NDIS participants.
  • Support participants, families, carers, and support teams.
  • Work to reduce restrictive practices in line with NDIS requirements.
  • Collaborate with allied health professionals in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Complete reports, case notes, and compliance documentation.

Typical Requirements

  • Registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner or eligibility to become registered.
  • Relevant qualification in psychology, education, social work, counselling, occupational therapy, speech pathology, or a related field.
  • Experience working with people with disability, autism, mental health conditions, or complex behaviours.
  • Strong written communication and report-writing skills.
  • Driver's licence and ability to travel to participants where required.
