A leading national commercial law firm is seeking an experienced Corporate Lawyer to join its busy and well-regarded Corporate & Commercial team on a contract basis for an initial period of 3-6+ months.
This position is suited to a mid to senior-level lawyer who is confident handling matters independently, enjoys a collaborative environment, and is looking to contribute to a strong team during a period of increased workflow

- deAdvising on a range of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructures, capital raising, and shareholder arrangemen
- tsDrafting, reviewing and negotiating key transaction documents including sale agreements, shareholder agreements, constitutions, and commercial contrac
- tsAssisting clients with corporate structuring, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance issu
- esConducting legal due diligence and supporting deal execution from start to fini
- shAdvising on Corporations Act and ASIC regulatory matte
- rsWorking closely with partners and senior lawyers on complex matters, with opportunities to lead smaller transactio
ns
Ideal Candid
ateThe ideal candidate will ha
- ve:5+ years’ PAE in corporate or commercial law, gained in a law firm or in-house legal environm
- entStrong technical legal skills, particularly in private M&A, structuring, and general corporate advis
- oryExcellent drafting skills and commercial judgem
- entStrong interpersonal and client communication ski
- llsAbility to manage competing priorities across multiple matt
- ersAvailable for an initial contract term, with flexibility around start date and engagement mo
