Solutions Engineer (Networking) – Sydney

About the Role

We are looking for a customer-focused Solutions Engineer with strong expertise in enterprise networking and exposure to storage technologies. In this role, you will act as a trusted technical advisor—designing scalable, secure solutions while partnering closely with sales teams to drive revenue growth and deliver exceptional client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Technical Leadership (Primary Focus: Networking)

• Design end-to-end network architectures (Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, routing/switching, security, data centre networking).
• Develop High-Level & Low-Level Designs (HLD/LLD), Bills of Materials (BoMs), and migration strategies.
• Integrate storage technologies where applicable (NAS/SAN, HCI).
• Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, and security requirements.

Customer Engagement & Solution Evangelism

• Lead technical workshops to understand business challenges and align solutions.
• Deliver presentations, demos, and Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to both technical and executive stakeholders.
• Own RFP/RFI responses with compelling, technically sound proposals.

Market Insight & Innovation

• Stay ahead of industry trends (e.g., AI-driven networking, Zero Trust, cloud networking).
• Incorporate best practices into solution design and customer discussions.

Commercial & Sales Support

• Support sales teams with pricing strategies, licensing models, and risk assessments.
• Differentiate solutions against competitors (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, etc.).

Partner Enablement

• Train and support channel partners on solution positioning and technical differentiation.

About You

Technical Skills & Experience

• 3+ years’ experience designing and deploying enterprise networking solutions:
• TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, SD-WAN
• Security: Firewalls, Zero Trust, NAC
• Hands-on experience with vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, HPE Aruba, Fortinet, or Huawei
• Exposure to cloud networking (AWS VPC, Azure VNet, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute)

Storage (Nice to Have)

• Basic understanding of storage technologies (block/file/object storage, SAN/NAS, backup & DR)
• Familiarity with solutions like Dell EMC, NetApp, or Pure Storage

Certifications (Preferred)

• CCNP / CCIE, JNCIP
• AWS or Azure Networking certifications

Soft Skills

• Strong communication skills—can translate technical concepts into business value
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently
• Collaborative mindset across sales, product, and engineering teams
