Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced AWS Technical Cloud Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of enterprise-scale cloud environments. This role focuses on driving automation, building secure and scalable AWS solutions, and contributing to platform maturity across complex environments. You will work closely with engineering, security, and operations teams to deliver high-quality cloud outcomes while ensuring best practices across infrastructure, security, and DevOps.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end AWS engineering initiatives including design, deployment, and operational readiness
- Design scalable, resilient, and secure AWS architectures aligned with enterprise standards
- Drive Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform and CloudFormation
- Build and enhance automation solutions and CI/CD pipelines
- Lead AWS networking, security, and platform improvements including IAM, VPC, and governance
- Troubleshoot complex cloud issues and implement long-term solutions
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers and uplifting engineering standards
Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with AWS core services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, and RDS
- Proven hands-on expertise with Terraform and AWS CloudFormation
- Advanced scripting and automation capability using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or AWS CLI
- Deep understanding of AWS security best practices and network security controls
- Experience working with container platforms such as Amazon EKS and Kubernetes
- Exposure to enterprise-scale AWS environments, including multi-account setups
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
