About the Opportunity

The primary purpose of the position is to plan, develop, implement, and manage current and future research activities in accordance with the NSW Ambulance research strategy.

The Manager Research and Evaluation will work collaboratively with the Senior Business Manager Medical Services and Research plus Associate Director Research, providing advice and support on all matters concerning NSW Ambulance research, clinical quality registries, governance, quality improvement and evaluation.

You will work to strengthen new and existing partnerships across NSW Ambulance and with external clinical stakeholders. You will continue to build NSW Ambulance clinical research capacity and productivity, while promoting, leading, developing, and fostering a culture of enquiry, evidence-based practice and evaluation.

About You

You are a collaborative leader who is passionate about advancing research and improving patient care. You enjoy working across disciplines and organisations, bringing people together to deliver meaningful, evidence-based change whilst strengthening research capability and capacity.

We are looking for an experienced research and evaluation professional with a strong understanding of and ability to manage complex research programs, particularly within the NSW Health research ecosystem, with expertise across the whole research lifecycle. You will be able to engage stakeholders and build strategic partnerships to enhance our research capability and impact.

Conditions

  • Employees currently undertaking an Extended Care Paramedic or Intensive Care Paramedic consolidation periods are eligible to apply however will need to complete all training and return of service obligations before accepting any relief/acting opportunities.
  • Employees currently undertaking a Special Operations Team (SOT) consolidation period are not eligible to apply for positions other than SOT positions. This includes positions offered via merit selection, transfer lists or later transfer mechanism, expressions of interest or secondments.

Employment type: Permanent full-time, 38 hours per week

Salary Range: $132,236 per annum - $150,222 per annum (Health Mgr Lvl 3)

Location: NSW Ambulance State Operations Centre, Sydney Olympic Park
