Real Assets Investment Associate
Platinum Pacific Partners
- Globally recognised real assets platform
- Rare opportunity to step out of advisory into principal investing at an institutional platform with global career pathways
- Targeting analysts and associates from tier one M&A, infrastructure or real estate coverage
Our client is a leading real assets investment manager with an established presence in Sydney. We are seeking an investment associate who will be focused on private equity investing across real estate and infrastructure. The fund utilises global pools of institutional capital raised and deployed internationally. The team is highly-regarded, creating excellent learning opportunities for junior investors. Deal-flow is exceptionally high leading to year on year headcount growth for the team in Australia.
We are seeking candidates with up to three years of experience post university. This experience will most likely come from tier one investment banks in M&A, real estate or infrastructure coverage. Candidates should have a genuine interest in real assets investing and a clear understanding of why they want to pursue a principal investing career over remaining in advisory. The distinction matters – these teams are looking for investors, not bankers.
Candidates will come with exceptional financial modelling skills, be critical thinkers and be able to translate an advisory background into an investment mindset. Strong academic credentials are expected. Candidates from a funds background in private equity, real assets or infrastructure will also be considered.
As an Investment Associate, you will be part of a small, focused team of investors. The role is execution focused, involving deal due diligence, financial modelling, investment paper documentation and presentations to IC. Our client is committed to developing their talent and have established pathways for high performers to grow through their global networks of offices. In addition, this role sits as part of broader Asia Pacific investment team, providing exposure across developed markets in the region.
