A leading digital transformation and IT services consultancy is seeking a senior sales hunter to open and win new logos across the Energy, Mining, and Logistics sectors in Australia. This is a pure new business role — no farming — for someone who thrives on building senior relationships, shaping complex transformation deals, and driving opportunities from first meeting through to contract signature.

The opportunity

You will engage stakeholders from Project Managers and Procurement leads through to CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, COOs, and Digital/Operations executives — understanding their business challenges and positioning tailored digital transformation solutions spanning Data & AI, cloud modernization, digital engineering, platform integration, and managed services.

You will work closely with internal practice leads and sales support teams, contribute to RFP and RFI responses, and provide market feedback to shape the organization's go-to-market strategy in the Australian industrial sector.

What you'll do

  • Drive and grow a qualified sales pipeline, targeting strategic accounts across energy producers, mining corporations, and logistics operators.
  • Build and nurture relationships with C-suite and senior business/IT decision makers in target accounts.
  • Lead responses to RFPs and RFIs, managing 6–18 month sales cycles with confidence.
  • Maintain structured pipeline reporting and accurate sales forecasting.
  • Contribute to marketing, brand, and regional go-to-market strategy for the Australian market.

Ideal background

You will have deep domain credibility — either from working inside the industry or from sustained selling into it — combined with strong IT services sales experience. Credibility in front of CIO/CTO/Head of Digital audiences is essential.

Industry & domain knowledge

  • 5+ years selling to major energy (oil, gas, renewables), mining, or logistics/supply chain organizations.
  • Familiarity with core industry systems: ERP & supply chain, asset management, IoT & predictive maintenance, fleet and logistics optimization.
  • Existing relationships with IT or business stakeholders in Australian industrial enterprises highly regarded.
  • IT services & transformation selling.
  • Track record selling digital engineering, cloud migration/modernization, AI/ML use cases, testing, integration, and managed services.
  • Comfortable opening doors without large brand support and shaping technical opportunities consultatively.
  • Highly structured in planning, pipeline creation, and RFP navigation.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Economics, Engineering/Technology, or Science — ideally with postgraduate management education. Minimum 10 years' overall experience including at least 3 years in a direct sales role, with a proven track record of growing senior executive relationships to deliver business growth.
