About the role

We are currently seeking reliable and compassionate disability support workers to provide full care and assistance to a 15 year old boy with a disability, he is ventilated, this care will help him live at home with his family.

Duties include but not limited too

• Ventilation and tracheostomy management
• PEG feeding management
• Assistance with attending school
• Medication prompting and administration
• Complex bowel care management
• Assistance with Allied health tasks
• Manual handling
• Domestic tasks
• Documentation and reporting

You will be supported by qualified healthcare professionals and would get the necessary training and skills to do the best job you can.

Shift times

This is a 24/7 program with a variety of shifts available, please indicate your availablity in your application.

Requirements

• Previous care experience
• Passionate about caring and committed to client wellbeing
• Current references
• Mobile phone
• Current driver's licence and your own car with insurance
• NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain (mandatory)
• First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain (mandatory)
• Working With Children Check – Paid (mandatory)
Certificate III (Ageing and Disability) or equivalent (mandatory)
