About the role

As Consumer Business Insights & Analytics (CBIA) Lead for the APAC OTC Category, you will be responsible for driving the overall impact of combined insights and analytics capabilities to accelerate business performance. This role will focus on OTC brands including Panadol, Advil, and Voltaren, supporting the ANZ market while also contributing to broader APAC initiatives.

Sitting within the APAC CBIA team and reporting directly to the Head of APAC CBIA, you will lead a team of one, guiding them to deliver impactful insights and analytics that inform strategic decisions across the organisation.

You will play a key role in shaping the strategy and learning agenda, driving innovation development, and embedding deep human and market understanding. Through this, you will help unlock consumer and customer-led opportunities, foster profitable growth, and build industry-leading thinking within the CBIA function across both ANZ and the wider APAC region

Key responsibilities

  • Determine insight needs and research priorities for APAC OTC Category, in collaboration with APAC Category Head
  • Full ownership and accountability for the creation and delivery of the APAC OTC Category insight services (Predominantly focused on wider Asia) including Innovation Development, Connections development, white space identification, brand and activity performance & understanding as well as leveraging the power of analytics, both traditional and digital, to drive impactful & influence decision-making
  • Lead the identification of future growth opportunities through landscape and trend analysis across Categories as well as leveraging traditional and digital analytics to understand and exploit areas of growth
  • Inspire and steer product & commercial innovation
  • Leverage deep experience in I&A to craft growth-driving insight and recommendations to the APAC Category Leadership Team and APAC CBIA Leadership Team from a broad range of Insight, Analytics and Digital Analytics methodologies
  • Play a critical role as member of the CBIA Leadership Team, helping to establish industry-leading thinking across the business as a senior leader in CBIA

Why you?

Basic Qualifications

  • Significant proven experience in business insights and analytics within OTC/ consumer goods industry
  • Extensive experience and understanding from working within a commercial environment, specifically within the creation and application of insights & analytics for growth
  • Strong track record of partnering with commercial/Function teams to achieve business objectives
  • Experience in driving innovation development and evaluation based on deep consumer, shopper, and expert understanding
  • Demonstrable experience operating within a leadership team, with proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects with successful outcomes, within a matrix organisation
  • Experience working within, or exposure to, the APAC region, either directly or indirectly, is highly valued, beyond a sole focus on the ANZ market.

  • A track record of transforming capabilities and embedding world-class practices within an insights function
  • Ability to enable and drive change – resilience and tenacity
  • Degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, or a related discipline
