The Warwick Turf Club has an exciting opportunity available to join our team at Allman Park Racecourse (Tier 3 TAB Race Club). Currently conducting minimum 10 race meetings per year and a training facility with 45 plus racehorses on grass, sand and dirt using the training facility daily.

The Trackwork Supervisor will be responsible for the operational control of relevant activities with regards to training, barrier trials and race day track work. The Trackwork Supervisor will lead, motivate and manage the Trainers expectations – strong negotiation and influencing skills with the capacity to develop and maintain strong relationships and the cooperation of others is essential.

As well as supporting the team with effective leadership and supervision whilst implementing the Club’s set WHS procedures. This includes working with a team devoted to offering exclusive facilities to those utilising the racecourse.

  • You’ll typically work 6 days a week, starting bright and early
  • Your strong communication skills will enable you to effectively alert track users of any developing situations, engage with track users and convey information to management with precision.
  • Supervising horses during their training sessions in accordance with industry and Workplace Health & Safety guidelines is a pivotal aspect of this role.
  • Given the elevated risk associated with working around horses, all team members must possess first aid training or be willing to undergo such training, which WTC will ensure is up to date.
  • Assisting the Racecourse Track & Venue Manager with Track maintenance
  • Assisting the Chief Operating Officer with Function set up
  • Obtain AQF3 Chemical Accreditation
  • General cleaning duties
  • Fulfill race day roles – eg. Accredited Starter, Barrier attendant, etc
