You’ll be part of a collaborative District Finance team supporting Integrated and Community Health services, working closely with operational leaders to deliver meaningful financial insights that improve outcomes for the community.

What you'll be doing

In this role, you will support operational and financial leaders by providing accurate, timely financial analysis and insights to enable informed decision-making and strong financial performance.

  • Deliver month-end analysis, reporting and financial insights
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes
  • Prepare journals and ensure integrity of financial data
  • Partner with managers to interpret results and drive improvements
  • Assist with business cases, projects and ad hoc financial analysis

  • Relevant tertiary qualification plus minimum extensive work experience within the Finance team of medium to large organization OR extensive relevant Health experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and concisely to staff at various levels of an organization.
  • Self-motivated and eager to understand and learn the various components of Health Care and its financial structure and finance requirements.
  • Aptitude to undertake analysis of complex financial and performance related data and to develop succinct interpretations of trends and issues arising from such an analysis.
  • Experienced in using financial computer systems such as Oracle as well as high level computer skills in PC based applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word and Access.
  • Experienced in time management and prioritization skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work both within a team environment and independently and to take direction.
  • Class C drivers licence and willingness to use for work purposes.
