Step into a pivotal leadership role with Intermediated Insurance Australia (IIA) Pricing team shaping how casualty risks are priced and valued across a complex insurance portfolio. As Casualty Pricing Manager, you’ll combine deep technical expertise with commercial judgement to influence decisions that drive sustainable growth. You’ll lead a specialist team, steer sophisticated pricing models, and bring clarity to long tail casualty risks where insight truly matters. Working closely with underwriting, claims, portfolio and data experts, you’ll turn complex data into confident, future focused pricing strategies that support both performance and purpose.

This is a 12-month max-term full-time role based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney) or Naarm (Melbourne).

What You'll Do

  • Lead the deployment of our new pricing Systems & Algorithm as part of our Commercial Enablement Project
  • Lead the development and execution of technical and commercial pricing strategies across casualty products, including Standalone Liability and Professional and Financial Lines.
  • Manage and coach a team of pricing specialists and analysts, building capability, engagement, and a strong culture of technical excellence.
  • Partner with portfolio, underwriting, claims, valuations, data and finance teams to shape aligned, data driven pricing decisions.
  • Provide clear, trusted insights on pricing performance, emerging trends, and portfolio profitability to senior stakeholders.
  • Strengthen pricing governance and risk controls, ensuring compliance while supporting commercial outcomes.

What You'll Bring

  • Strong experience in general insurance pricing, portfolio management or valuations within complex or long tail classes.
  • Strong project management skills, experience in Technology and transformation projects are highly valued
  • Proven ability to lead, develop and inspire technical teams in a collaborative, inclusive environment.
  • Confidence translating complex pricing concepts into clear, practical insights for varied audiences.
  • Deep understanding of pricing methodologies and modern analytics used in casualty or underwritten insurance.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to balance technical rigour, regulatory needs and business objectives.
